Tender data stays under its publisher's licence
Every notice this API serves comes from a public source with its own licence and attribution requirement, and that requirement travels with the data: each result carries the attribution string for its source, so a downstream reuser can comply without guessing.
- TED — Tenders Electronic Daily (Publications Office of the European Union). Reuse of Commission documents is permitted under Decision 2011/833/EU, with acknowledgement of the source and without distorting the original meaning.
- SAM.gov Contract Opportunities (U.S. General Services Administration). Works of the U.S. federal government are in the public domain in the United States; SAM.gov's terms of use apply to the site and its APIs.
- UK Find a Tender (Cabinet Office). Open Government Licence v3.0 — reuse permitted with attribution.
Each additional OCDS publisher is added to sources.json with its licence recorded. A publisher whose licence forbids redistribution is not ingested — the adapter is omitted rather than quietly degraded.
Classification vocabularies
- CPV (Common Procurement Vocabulary) — Regulation (EC) No 2195/2002 as amended, published by the European Commission.
- NAICS (North American Industry Classification System, 2022 edition) — published by the U.S. Census Bureau, public domain.
The CPV ↔ NAICS crosswalk is ours, and unofficial
No official CPV–NAICS concordance exists.
crosswalk.json is a derived mapping maintained in this
repository, covering all 45 CPV divisions, with a confidence and a stated
basis on every row. It is published under the same MIT licence as the code, and it
must never be presented as authoritative: it is a search aid, not a legal classification.
If you redistribute results
Retain the attribution carried on each notice, and confirm the authoritative text against the
source link on the publisher's own portal. Coverage is best effort per source — see
sources.json and GET /v1/ingest/runs.
